CustomWorks Terms and Conditions

Payments
Payments for a vehicle(s) or project(s) are required in 4 parts:
- 10% Booking fee
- 15% Initial deposit
- 50% Progress payments
- 25% Final payment

Booking fee
A non-refundable Booking Fee of 10% must be paid to add a job to the CustomWorks schedule. This non refundable payment ensures that the job is booked in and workshop space is allocated. Cancellation of a booking causes not only inconvenience, it means no work is scheduled, which means no income, which means we don't eat.

Initial Deposit
When the vehicle arrives at the CustomWorks workshop an initial deposit of 15% will be required before work is commenced. This allows us to purchase materials and components.

Progress Payments
Once work has commenced on the vehicle, a series of regular payments need to be made. The amount and number of payments will vary depending on the work that is required. CustomWorks will negotiate with each customer a schedule of regular payments for the length of time the vehicle is expected to be in the workshop. The total of the regular payments will amount to 50% of the quoted cost of the job. If regular payments are not made on time, work will cease and the vehicle will incur a storage fee of $30 per day and the vehicle might be stored outside.

Final Payment
The balance of 25% will be due as a final payment on completion of the work.

Additional Work
Additional work may be added by the customer at any time. This in turn will delay the targeted completion date. Any additional work will be treated as a new job and will require an initial deposit of 25% of the cost of the additional work. The schedule of Progress Payments will be adjusted accordingly.

Insurance
As we are not the owners of the vehicles, our insurance policy does not cover theft or damage of customer's vehicles. Of course we will take every care and vehicles will be kept in a locked premises, but ultimately insurance is the customer's responsibility.

Quotes
An itemised quote, starting date, proposed completion date and payment schedule will be issued after initial inspection of the vehicle.

Hourly Rate
The CustomWorks shop rate is $75/hr.

Workshop Hours
CustomWorks shop hours are Monday to Friday 8-6 and Saturday 10-3. Other times can be arranged by appointment only.

Drop Off / Pick Up
Although we prefer to conduct vehicle drop-offs / pick-ups during regular business hours, non business hours appointments may be arranged. Under no circumstances should vehicle(s) and/or projects(s) be dropped off or picked up without CustomWorks supervision. Vehicles will not be accepted unless the Booking Fee and the Initial Deposit have been paid. The customer is required to remove all vehicle(s) and/or project(s) 7 days after completion. After 7 days a daily $30.00 storage fee applies and the vehicle might be left outside. All invoices,charges, fees,and/or products must be paid in full before customer receives vehicles, projects, services and/or products.
